There are moments in a career when you either accept the trajectory or you elevate it.
I spent more than a decade managing for Windermere Professional Partners, before purchasing my office. My focus was always clear: education, strong compliance, meaningful training, and building real relationships inside the office. Leadership to me has never been about volume, it's about responsibility. File review, mentorship, standards, culture, problem-solving (and yes, the occasional cleanup on aisle five).
I loved leading. I loved building advisors.
But over time, I began to notice something shifting.
As offices multiplied and agent counts expanded, differentiation became harder. What had once been considered the “Nordstrom” of real estate curated, elevated, distinct began to feel diluted by scale. Offices sat closer together. Branding blended. Advisors worked harder to stand out within their own company. When growth becomes about numbers, distinction can get lost in density. And I believe distinction matters.
So I made a decision that required both clarity and courage. I chose to upgrade, not away from what I valued, but toward something more aligned with it. I became a Licensed Partner and Designated Broker of Engel & Völkers Chambers Bay to build a boutique brokerage with global reach. Smaller in size. Sharper in positioning. Intentional in growth.
Not smaller thinking.
Sharper positioning.
I kept what mattered most to my advisors, education, mentorship, collaborative culture, and high standards. But paired it with a brand designed for distinction.
At Engel & Völkers, every home is treated as a luxury, regardless of price point. Marketing is curated, not crowded. Exposure is strategic and international. Presentation is elevated. Advisors are not lost in numbers, and clients are never positioned as inventory.
This isn’t about volume. It’s about precision.
Chambers Bay operates as a boutique collective, selective in who we grow with, aligned in how we serve, and deeply rooted in Pierce County while connected to a global network. Our advisors train, evolve, and hold themselves to a higher standard because the platform supports that level of professionalism.
This transition wasn’t about leaving something behind.
It was about building something better, a brand where distinction is protected, where advisors are strengthened, and where every home is treated with the respect it deserves.
